Every day starts with a freshly prepared breakfast and an outline of the day ahead. Our itinerary is flexible and may change subject to the weather or new and interesting ingredients found by Chef Giuseppe at the local market or other events. Each day will provide the opportunity to learn about and eat the fantastic cuisine of Sicily accompanied by the chance to taste a selection of different local wines.
Day 1
- Pick up from Catania airport - scheduled for 16:00
- Welcome cocktails and canapés at Villa Elena
- Gastronomic dinner prepared by hosting chef Giuseppe Silvestri
- Introductory talk on the forthcoming events
Day 2
- Insight into the Sicilian kitchen and cuisine
- Hands on lesson creating a typical Sicilian meal from antipasti to desert
- Lunch served with wine and soft drinks
- Free time to relax by the pool or beach
- Evening starts with a brief lesson on stocks and seasoning
- Dinner with cocktails and canapés
Day 3
- Hands-on lesson making fresh pasta
- Lunch of the delicious pasta dishes made in the morning lesson
- Free time or optional visit to the baroque town of Naro
- Hands-on lesson making dinner
- Dinner with cocktails
Day 4
- Early breakfast
- Visit to the open market in Siracusa to select the ingredients for the evenings cookery lesson
- Lunch in Siracusa
- Visit the town of Caltagirone, famous for its Sicilian ceramics
- Hands-on lesson using the ingredients bought at the market
- Dinner with cocktails
