Have you always wondered how the chefs make it look so easy? Want to experience real Sicilian food and culture? The Villa Elena Cookery School believes that learning is best when we experience it ourselves. All the lessons are hands on and are taught in an intimate and personal setting under the guidance of Chef Giuseppe Silvestri - and the best part is that you get to enjoy all the fruits of your labour - with delicious Sicilian wine!

Chef Giuseppe Silvestri was born and raised in Capri in Italy. At age 11 he started working in the family restaurant, Da Gemma, and has been serving fabulous food ever since. Having trained in Italy, Switzerland and America, he left Italy in 1992 to move to London. Here, he first came to recognition whilst working at the Michelin star Daphne’s in London and has been the Head Chef at one of the top London locations for over 10 years.

Cooking is not work, but pleasure for Giuseppe and he loves to share his art through teaching at many cookery schools in Italy and France and often holds impromptu classes for his friends. For Giuseppe cooking is about sharing a great passion with friends and family and there is nothing better than sitting down to relax and enjoy a lovely meal.
